SatNav Technologies receives ISO 9001 certification

Systematic work approach was acknowledged with ISO 9001:2008 certification

Hyderabad, 31 March, 2009: SatNav Technologies, India’s GPS Pioneer was endorsed with an ISO 9001:2008 certification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in the month of January 2009. DNV is one of the world's leading certification bodies/registrars offering the latest in management system certification services. With more than 70,000 certificates issued worldwide their name evokes strong commitment to safety, quality, and concern for the environment. For year, they have been the preferred certification partner by many Fortune 500 companies.

ISO 9001 is a quality management standard. It applies to all types of organizations. It doesn't matter what size they are or what they do. It can help both product and service oriented organizations achieve standards of quality that are recognized and respected throughout the world. The other standards in the family cover specific aspects such as fundamentals and vocabulary, performance improvements, documentation, training, and financial and economic aspects. A consultant was hired to do GAP analysis and define process for all business units. Following a rigorous audit, SatNav recently earned ISO 9001:2008, the certification for its quality management system (QMS) after 15 months of initial kick-off.
